Using Sumif With Wildcards In Excel

ConfusedHi,

I've got the following setup of a table:

Excel Spreadsheet:
  A B C D
1  Name Revenue
 Criteria  SUMIF
2  some-text-more (blank-12345)
 2645  blank-12345

What would the formula be if I wanted to make a SUMIF function where it gives the sum of the revenue in column B where the Criteria in column C appears in column A?

Thanx!
Stefan

You can use wildcards around the criteria to match partial text in the SUMIF function.

If you have data down 20 rows, the formula in cell D2 is:
=SUMIF(A2:A20,"*"&C2&"*",B2:B20)
