ConfusedHi Folks,

would appreciate any help or advise here.

I have a spreadsheet that contains hundreds of references, and prices against each of these reference number for framing products offered. for example:

Reference NumberPrice (£)
PW940527-1616£81.40
PW940527-1815£83.03

each frame that I offer to my customers have three major parts. The wooden outer, the mount board and the print. Each have a unique reference number. What I would like to be able to do is to type the reference number the customer would like, and in the next cell, the price is returned for each of the component parts. then I can total the costs up. Just now I use the search function to scroll through the tables, and write down each of the three prices by hand. I'd like to automate this if possible.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Hi,

use this formula to get the required price

IF(C5="PW940527-1616",81.4,IF(C5="PW940527-1815",83.03,IF(C5="PW940527-1850",50,"na")))

in next cell put the no of frames sold

in next cell multiply 1st and 2nd cell to get the out put

Ex say in c5 you insert the reference no and in c6 put the first formula and in c7 put the no of unit sold and in c8 put =c6*c7

Have a great day!

Regards,
Vimal
